JillLebofsky earns money through affiliate links. If you buy a supplement after clicking a link on this site, we may receive a commission from the seller or its affiliate network. You do not pay extra because of our link. Commissions never change what we report, and we do not accept payment for reviews.
How does JillLebofsky make money?
We are a small independent publication with no advertisers and no paid subscriptions. Our income comes from affiliate commissions. Many of the products we cover are sold through affiliate networks such as ClickBank, BuyGoods and MaxWeb. When you click one of our links and then buy, the network records that the sale came from JillLebofsky and pays us a share of the price.
If you click a link and do not buy, we earn nothing. If you buy and later get a refund, the commission is usually reversed.
Does using our link cost you more?
No. The seller sets the price, and our link does not add to it. Sometimes a seller offers a different price to different visitors or in different bundles. We report the prices we saw when we wrote or updated the review, and prices can change after that.
How are affiliate links marked?
Every affiliate link on this site carries the rel="sponsored" attribute in our code. That tells search engines the link is commercial. For readers, a review that contains affiliate links says so near the top of the page, and this page is linked from every review.
Do commissions change what we report?
No. We follow the same review method for every product, whether it pays us or not. A product with a poorly dosed label, weak evidence or tough refund terms gets that written plainly, even when we earn a commission on it. We do not give scores or ratings, so there is no number for money to push up.
Here is what we do not do:
- We do not accept payment for a review or for changes to a review.
- We do not let brands or networks approve our copy before it is published.
- We do not accept free products, since we do not test products ourselves.
- We do not remove a con, a complaint pattern or a safety note because a seller asks.
Our editorial policy sets out the full rules on independence and sourcing.
Why do we tell you this?
You should know when a website can earn money from your purchase, so you can weigh what it says. The Federal Trade Commission also expects publishers to disclose these relationships clearly. You can read the FTC's guidance in its Endorsement Guides questions and answers.
Who handles your order and refund?
When you buy through one of our links, you buy from the seller, not from JillLebofsky. The seller and its payment processor handle your order, shipping, auto-ship settings and refunds. We cannot see your order, change it or issue a refund. Each review summarizes the refund terms we found, but the seller's own terms on the day you buy are the ones that apply.
When you leave our site through an affiliate link, the seller or network may set cookies to credit the sale. Our privacy policy explains this.
